선박의 선적 / 하적 작업과 같이 부두에 정박하여 장시간 대전력을 요구하는 작업을 수행하는 선종의 경우 선박 내 필요한 전력 공급을 위해 디젤 엔진을 운전하여 전력을 운용하고 있습니다. 디젤 엔진은 운전 중 발생하는 탄소가스 배출로 인해 대기 오염이 발생을 하며, 국제해사기구(IMO)에서는 이러한 탄소가스 배출 규제를 강화하고 있습니다.
KTE는 친환경 선박에 대한 솔루션으로 정박 중 디젤 엔진 대신 육상으로부터 대전력을 공급 받을 수 있는 육상 전력 공급 시스템(Alternate Maritime Power System, AMP System)을 제공합니다.
